From my years in broadcasting in Nigeria to my life and professional journey in the United Kingdom, I continue to carry the values of communication, service, culture and responsibility.

I am married to Oluwaseun Olagunju, my wife and life partner. Her love, companionship and support are an important part of my personal journey.

Through this website, I hope to preserve family history, celebrate Yoruba heritage, share stories and connect people at home with Africans and people of African heritage around the world.

My Royal Heritage

Omo Oduduwa, Omo Olasooye Otinsokun, Omo Owa Otan.

My roots are deeply connected to the ancient town of Otan-Ayegbaju in present-day Boluwaduro Local Government, Osun State, Nigeria.

Olasooye Otinsokun Osiloye

Traditionally remembered as the 16th child of Oduduwa and the founding ancestor associated with Otan-Ayegbaju.

According to the traditional history of Otan-Ayegbaju, Olasooye Otinsokun Osiloye was the 16th child of Oduduwa who migrated from Ile-Ife and became the founding ancestor associated with the establishment of Otan-Ayegbaju.

This ancestral connection forms an important part of the Otinsokun royal heritage and the identity of Otan-Ayegbaju.

I am proud to carry the Otinsokun name, not merely as an inheritance, but as a responsibility to honour the history, values and people connected to it.

Broadcasting

The microphone is a trust.

Before relocating to the United Kingdom, I had the privilege of serving at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State — BCOS, the Pace-Setter.

Read My Broadcasting Story

At BCOS, I learned the essence of broadcasting: integrity, timeliness, professionalism and the sacred duty to inform, educate and entertain.

The newsroom, studio and field taught me that the microphone is not simply a tool. It is a trust.

Broadcasting is service.

Every story carries responsibility. Every voice has the potential to inform, educate and inspire.

Healthcare & Service

A continuing tradition of care.

My professional journey has extended beyond broadcasting. Today, in the United Kingdom, I am also involved in healthcare.

My experience in healthcare has strengthened my understanding of care, communication, compassion and service to others.

In different ways, broadcasting and healthcare have taught me a similar lesson: people matter.

This is another way in which service continues to be part of my personal and family story.

Living in the diaspora has strengthened my appreciation of home. Distance has not weakened my connection to Yoruba culture; it has made preserving and sharing it even more meaningful.

Through journalism, storytelling and digital media, I seek to connect people at home with Africans and people of African heritage around the world.

My Mission

To bridge home and the diaspora.

To tell our stories with truth and dignity.

To project the richness of Yoruba culture, traditional institutions, history and the resilience of our people to the world.

To be a trusted voice for Africans at home and abroad.
